Peter Kinash
Peter is a Chartered Accountant who has over 20 years experience working with emerging and established technology companies. Peter served as CFO of Wi-LAN Inc., a leading designer, developer and supplier of broadband wireless IP networks. Prior to joining Wi-LAN, he led the Calgary technology practice of KPMG , assisting a wide range of technology companies with issues related to strategy, alliance partners, financing, and securities and tax in Canada and the US.
Peter's technology clients were involved in over $3 billion of equity, merger and debt transactions in the late 1990's. Peter is frequently sought out to speak and write on his experiences with corporate finance and emerging technology companies.
Peter has been involved in many initiatives related to the Alberta technology community including the Calgary Emerging and Technology Company Investment Symposium, the ViaTech initiative, and the Alberta Science and Technology Board of Directors where he serves as Treasurer and Vice Chair.
